Thassos is an island in the northern part of the Aegean Sea, historically part of the larger mainland region of Thrace, located south of the mouth of the river Nestos or Mieszcza.

As on almost all the islands of Greece, the island of Thassos has a well-developed tourism business. Communication with the mainland is by ferry. Ferries from the two cities of Kavala and Keramoti go to the island. The average travel time from Kavala is 1.5 hours, from Keramoti 0.5 hours. Beautiful sea air, the smell of coniferous forest, clear emerald sea create a unique feeling for a good rest.

On Thassos, a quiet holiday for the whole family. There are almost no noisy establishments and nightclubs. Lots of hotels and private villas for the most sophisticated tourists. Service in Thassos hotels is quite high as in all of Greece. Hotels have car and bicycle rental points. All conditions for rest are created for cyclists. For example, parallel to the roads are bicycle roads, which are illuminated at night. The beaches on the island are both sandy and pebble.
