Khajuraho

Common description

Khajuraho - a large complex of temples of the North Indian type, with towers of parabolic shapes (between 954-1050), in India (Madhya Pradesh). About 20 temples have survived, the largest of which is Kandarya-Mahadeva, built in the XI century. He is known for his exquisite sculptures depicting sexual scenes from the Kama Sutra, as well as scenes of group sex and zoophilia. We often visit tourists.

The city in the period from 950 to 1050 was the capital of the Chandel dynasty. The whole complex originally housed 80 Hindu temples, the whole complex is scattered over an area of 21 km2. Khajuraho temples are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
