Amboseli

Common description

Amboseli National Park is located in Loitokitok, Rift Valley province in southeastern Kenya. The park area is 392 km2 and is located in the center of the 3000 km2 ecosystem that crosses the border of Kenya and Tanzania. The park is located 240 kilometers southeast of the capital Nairobi and next to the Masai Mara Reserve and Lake Nakuru National Park is the most visited national park in Kenya. This is partly due to the beautiful animal scenery of Mount Kilimanjaro, as well as the ability to get close to elephants grazing among other animals. The park's revenue in 2005 was $ 3.5 million. The national park is home to more than 400 species of birds and 80 species of mammals.
