The main zone of the Cuban archipelago, which attracts those who prefer a holiday by the sea, enjoys well-deserved international fame. This resort on the Ikakos Peninsula has a strip of beaches more than 20 km long, covered with fine white sand and washed by the sea, which shimmers with a variety of shades of blue; one fifth of its territory (14.4 km2) is part of ecological reserves.
