Common description

Veracruz is a resort town in Mexico. It used to be a pretty and dusty city. That was ten to fifteen years ago, until Governor Miguel Aleman began a program to attract investment for the complete transformation of Veracruz. He succeeded, now Veracruz is a very romantic and quaint town, it smells like a salty sea, which is not dusty or dirty, many new beautiful buildings, and the historic center is full of beauty. In the center, all streets are named after historical names - you will find both Pedro Alvarado and Catholic kings.
In Veracruz it is recommended to look at - La Venta - museum-park-reserve, where Olmek heads are represented. Fort San Juan Ulua is a true one that survived from colonial times. It is worth the sea as a breakwater. If you can not get into the territory of the fort, then you can quite look at its loopholes from the embankment - where there is a souvenir market named after Miguel Aleman - it is wonderful. The central historical square with the telegraph, railway station - is very historically informative. Nearby there is an arcade gallery - the most fun place. Embankment - construction is completed in almost a few kilometers. The infamous Velacrus Aquarium - thousands of fish and sharks found in local waters are displayed there. A great and very expensive project - worth a visit and see. It is also worth looking at Isla Sacrificios - a small island with a lighthouse. The name speaks for itself.
Here is a good choice of hotels, with good infrastructure for recreation, swimming pools, restaurants, saunas, gyms. The port is located directly in the city, all close - 5 minutes from the checkpoint. Bar, telephone, exchange office, internet cafe shops and entertainment
