Las Vegas (Spanish: Las Vegas) - a city in the western United States, in the state of Nevada, the administrative center of the southernmost in the state of Clark County. The city is located in the central part of the Mojave Desert, its population is 558,383 inhabitants. In total, in the Las Vegas agglomeration in 2008, 1,865,746 people lived permanently.
Las Vegas is one of the world's largest centers of entertainment and gambling. Numerous casinos, hotels, daily concerts and shows attract tourists from all over the world.
