Lake Placidy is a place with a great Olympic history. The Winter Olympics were held here twice in 1932 and 1980. The developed infrastructure allows to be engaged in winter sports, and in the summer actively to have a rest on the nature in surrounding Appalachians. It is also one of the official venues for the Ironman survival triathlon.
