Common description
Koh Samui - is located 600 kilometers southeast of Bangkok, 80 km from the mainland. This is an island of "coconut" palm trees (there are more than 3.5 million) and the cleanest tropical beaches, covering almost its entire coastline. Smaller islands are scattered nearby. Exciting sea voyages to some of them - Turtle Island or the islands that make up the Ang Thong Marine National Park, will remain in your memory for a long time.
In the evening in the bays of Lamai and Chaweng you can taste seafood skillfully prepared by local chefs, buy local souvenirs, have fun in bars and discos.
There is an airport from which, in addition to Bangkok, regular flights fly to Pattaya, Phuket and Singapore.
Where to stay?
According to natural and climatic conditions and proximity to places of evening rest resort areas are divided into two zones.
1. Hotels are located in two main tourist centers - the bays of Lamai and Chaweng. All the delights of evening and nightlife nearby or a maximum of 10-12 minutes walk along the beach (the most direct road) from your hotel.
2. Hotels that are not located in the two main tourist centers - the bays of Lamai and Chaweng.
These include hotels in the bays of the northern, northeastern coast of the island, south, as well as those located in the picturesque bays between Lamai and Chaweng. In the vast majority of these hotels there are no restaurants and souvenir shops. Or their choice is very limited.
